Our promise: we don't read your sessions

Your conversations with Eli are yours. Our team — including the founder — does not read your session transcripts. Sensitive content (your conversations and notes) is encrypted at rest, and access is tightly restricted by technical controls. We built this product specifically for people who need a private, safe place to be honest.

Who we are

Soul in Motion presents Eli (“we”, “us”) provides Eli, an emotional support companion. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have. It is written to be consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Account info: if you sign up, your email and/or Google account identifier. You may also use a guest session with no account.
  • Conversation data: your messages to Eli and Eli's replies, plus per-session summaries and notes used to provide continuity. Stored encrypted and private to you.
  • Voice data (if you talk): in voice sessions, your speech is sent in real time to our voice provider to convert it to text and to generate Eli's spoken replies. Your voice audio is not recorded or stored, and the text transcript is automatically deleted from the voice provider's systems shortly after your session ends (typically within minutes). The only lasting copy is the encrypted one in our own database, which you control and can delete. See “Who helps us run the service” below.
  • Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Razorpay). We do not store your card details.
  • Minimal technical data: only what's needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it (and what we never do)

We use your data only to provide the service: to let Eli remember your context and offer continuity, to keep you safe, and to process payments. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We choose AI and voice providers whose terms prohibit using your content to train their models, and we do not train models on your private conversations.

Who helps us run the service

To make Eli work, your conversation is processed by a small set of trusted providers, only to deliver the service to you:
  • An AI model provider generates Eli's replies from your messages.
  • A voice provider (for voice sessions) converts your speech to text and produces Eli's spoken voice, in real time. It is configured not to record your audio, and we delete the session's transcript from its systems shortly after the session ends.
  • Hosting & database providers run the app and store your encrypted data.
  • Privacy-respecting analytics: we measure basic, aggregate usage (like how many people visit a page) using a cookieless analytics tool. It never receives your conversations and is not used to profile or track you across the web.
These providers act on our instructions, under contracts that bar them from selling your data or training on it. We never send your data anywhere else.

Consent & your rights (DPDP)

We process your personal data based on your explicit consent, given at onboarding. You can, at any time: access your data, correct it, withdraw consent, and delete your account and all associated data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Automated safety

To keep you safe, the service automatically scans messages for signals of crisis (such as risk of self-harm) so it can surface helplines and encourage human support. This safety check is automated and does not involve a person reading your conversation.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and conversation history, except where we are legally required to retain limited records.

Delete your data

You can erase everything right now — every conversation, note, and your account itself. This cannot be undone.
